Printing
Orders
When an order is placed through the SL Imaging order form, and accepted by SL Imaging, it will be final. Approval of artwork proofs and payment must be completed within two weeks of the placement of the order unless stated otherwise. If a cancellation is made then a $44 processing fee is payable. Please make sure “The Client” are aware of the terms and conditions before ordering. If “The Client” have any questions in regard to the products please feel free to call us and talk to one of our friendly team who will be able to answer any questions prior to placing an order.
Email Proof
“The Client” will receive one free proof for each order. Proofs provided by SL Imaging are only an indication of the final printed product. Variations in colour or trim can be a result of the printing process. No reprints at our cost will be printed. Resubmission of DIY artwork requires another proof to be emailed at a cost of $22 inc gst. Customers should read and follow our Artwork Guidelines carefully before submitting their artwork.
Colour Variations
Our printing products may have colour variations from what “The Client” has seen on screen, to what the final product looks like. Variations between the front and back of the card, and previous orders can also be expected.
Our printing machines use digital printing process which use CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) printing colours; pastel, metallic or fluorescent colours can not be achieved on a digital printer.
No reprints at our expense will be printed.
Trimming of Printing
All printing products are trimmed. Trimming of printing products may shift up to 1.5mm in any direction, therefore our Artwork Guidelines should be properly adhered to minimize risk of trimming affecting the look of the print.

Accepting Proofs
When accepting artwork proofs from SL Imaging, “The Client” is held fully responsible for accepting all content. This includes design, spelling, grammar and numbers. It is “The Client’s” responsibility to request another copy if “The Client” proof is difficult to read. We will print exactly what is accepted in the final proof. No reprints at our expense will be printed.
If “The Client” would like to make changes to the DIY artwork after viewing the proof, “The Client” may resubmit updated artwork to receive a new proof for $22.00 inc gst. Alternatively we can make the requested changes from $25.00 inc gst and then email a new proof.
Printing Turnaround
Printing turnaround will vary. The current median turnaround time for most printing products is 2-4 business days. This is not a guarantee but a guide. This is from the time of accepting the proof, to the time when “The Client” receives the order. Design time is extra. SL Imaging will not be held responsible for loss or damages due to printing being delivered after this time. It is the client’s responsibility to allow plenty of time for preparing artwork, printing and delivery.
Business cards are printed and delivered within 2 business days, based on certain deadlines.
Delivery
SL Imaging will not be held liable for printing products that are lost, damaged or delayed when delivered by post or courier. All items being delivered to a residential address will be left at the door in the event of no one being home.
Submitting DIY Artwork
Design at your own risk!
Please note that designing and submitting your artwork for printing can sometimes produce unplanned results. Designing artwork for digital printing can be technical with a range of factors that goes beyond what you see on the computer monitor. SL Imaging fully recommends getting a professional designer to design your printing artwork. Customers submitting their own DIY artwork are fully responsible for the end result of printing. Customers are reminded to submit print-ready artwork with the correct specifications as outlined on our Artwork Guidlelines.
You will receive a free artwork proof by email which you will need to approve before printing can commence. SL Imaging will print whatever you submit, and SL Imaging is not reponsible for artwork mistakes. No reprints at our expense will be printed.??It is your reponsibilty to ensure that any artwork that is submitted is not in violation of any copyright laws. SL Imaging assumes that your artwork is legally yours or you have the correct permission to print it.??SL Imaging reserves the right to make changes to your artwork without your consent to avoid printing problems that can be foreseen to happen. This will rarely change the design, but if it does it will be evident in the proof you receive. SL Imaging will rasterize all submitted DIY Artwork at standard print quality resolution before printing. Customers who prefer to keep their DIY Artwork untouched must apply to become “Print-ready Approved” by SL Imaging.
This requires passing of an artwork test and submission of perfect artwork.
If after viewing your email proof you would like to resubmit your DIY artwork, we will send you a new proof for $22.00 inc gst. Alternatively we can make your requested changes for you from $25.00 inc gst and then email you a new proof.
Prices
While care has been taken in posting correct prices on in our pricelist, SL Imaging has the right to remove or change products and prices without notice. All quotes are valid for 14 days only and may be subject to change after this period.
Feedback & Complaints
Clients who believe that their printing product is not up to standard are encouraged to email
info@slimaging.com.au with their order details, and the nature of their feedback. SL Imaging may also request a sample of the product be posted to PO Box 1759 Preston South VIC or personally delivered to inspect. If a printing error has occured that is not due to the client’s artwork, then SL Imaging will arrange a free reprint for the client. SL Imaging will not be held liable for errors caused by the client’s artwork, delivery of the product or minor imperfections that fall within acceptable printing standards.
Please note that SL Imaging requires all feedback to be submitted in writing (email preferred).

Graphic Design
Commencement of Work
“The Client” agrees to provide written approval or emailed approval of the quote provided by SL Imaging before any work is commenced, as a Letter of Agreement between “The Client” and SL Imaging concerning the work outlined in the reviewed brief.
Payment
“The Client” agrees to pay a non-refundable 10% deposit of the quoted amount to commence any project, with the balance payable prior to delivery. If the work time exceeds 4 calendar weeks in duration, “The Client” agrees to a progress payment of 50% of the balance per month until the conclusion of the project, with any outstanding amount payable in full upon delivery.
Fees for Service
It is agreed that the fee for service shall be as per the quote provided, unless work undertaken exceeds work outlined. If work undertaken exceeds the items specified, “The Client” agrees to pay appropriate fees for the excess work, outside the scope of the original agreement.
Excess Work
This is defined as any work involving additions to the list of items defined in the Design Brief or changes to all pieces of finished artwork after sign off by an authorised representative of “The Client”.
From time to time “The Client” will require extra design requirements during a project, or extra files upon completion of a project.
Should additional design not initially quoted for be requested during the design process, a progress payment will be payable prior to further work being carried out. Otherwise, all additional costs will be added to the final invoice, payable prior to delivery of design files.
Publication and/or release of work performed on behalf of the client by SL Imaging may not take place before cleared funds have been received.
Any booking fees, design commencement fees, or progress payments are non refundable under any circumstances.
Liability Regarding Work and Materials Provided
It is agreed that all work and materials provided for “The Client” by SL Imaging will be free and clear of all liens and encumbrances and may be lawfully used by “The Client” without infringing upon the rights of others including, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, any copyright trade secret patent or trade mark rights of any third party.
Approval of Final Artwork
“The Client” to proof read and approve all final copy before the production of artwork. The email verification of the Client’s Representative shall be conclusive as to the approval of all artwork prior to their release for printing, implementation or installation. While SL Imaging takes all care to avoid errors, SL Imaging accepts no responsibility for typographical errors, spelling mistakes, or incorrect information on any project approved by a client. No refunds or reprints are given after a final approved design has gone to print due to oversights by “The Client’s” proof reading.
Copyright
It is agreed that “The Client” will have the exclusive right to retain and reproduce any artwork, manuals, information, material reports and other output which is produced from the work outlined in the design brief. It is agreed that SL Imaging hereby assign to “The Client”, upon written confirmation of this submission, all rights title and interest in the future copyright of any artwork, manuals, information, material reports and other output which is produced, extended or modified during the performance of the work outlined in the design brief. This granting of copyright does not extend to the use of design proposals submitted but not approved by “The Client” for the work outlined. Until final payment, SL Imaging full retains ownership of all artwork and website architecture. SL Imaging reserve the rights to certain elements used to create “The Client” images including fonts, patterns, stock images, textures, colour palettes and other non exclusive items.
SL Imaging reserve the right to use stock images in the creation of designs if required. This cost is included in the design quote.
Other than for the promotional use of SL Imaging all services provided shall be for the exclusive use of “The Client’s” said purposes only. Designs may not be used for other promotional items, website or printed materials without permission. Upon payment of all invoices, reproduction rights for all approved final designs created by SL Imaging shall be outlined in the Project Proposal. For additional usage, price will be assessed as needed.
Website Design Credit
“The Client” agrees to allow SL Imaging to place a small credit on printed material exhibition displays, advertisements and/or a SL Imaging’s own website on the customer’s website. This will be in the form of a small logo or line of text placed towards the bottom of the page.
“The Client” also agrees to allow SL Imaging to place websites and other designs, along with a link to the client’s site on SL Imaging’s own website for self promotional purposes.
Confidentiality
It is agreed that employees of SL Imaging shall not at any time either during the continuance of the work outlined or thereafter, except in the course of their duties, divulge any of the confidential affairs of “The Client” or any of its clients or associated companies to anyone whatsoever without the previous consent in writing of “The Client”.
Litigation
It is agreed that SL Imaging indemnify and hold “The Client” harmless from and against all claims for injury or death to persons or damage to property (including cost of litigation and legal fees) caused by, arising from or incidental to the services to be performed during the performance of the work outlined, except any such claims which are caused by the negligence of “The Client” or its employees, and it is agreed that we shall notify “The Client” in writing of full details of any such claim.
Late Payments & Default
Accounts which are not paid within 7 days will incur a late administration fee of $20 + GST. Accounts which remain outstanding for 14 days after the date of invoice will incur an additional late payment fee equivalent to 5% of the project costs for each week payment is outstanding.
An account shall be considered in default if it remains unpaid for 30 days from the date of invoice or “the client” has stated expressly that they do not intend to pay an invoice by SL Imaging, unless prior arrangements have been made. SL Imaging shall at it’s sole discretion suspend any and all services provided to the client by SL Imaging or it’s subsidiaries (including but not limited to hosting, websites designed files, concepts, artwork, and email) and employ debt collection measures until the total outstanding balance has been fully paid. This includes any and all unpaid monies due for services ordered, including, but not limited to design, hosting, domain registration, search engine submission, maintenance, sub-contractors, printers, photographers and libraries plus bank interest calculated daily for each day payment is overdue.
Suspension of such services does not relieve the client of it’s obligation to pay the due amount. Files on external servers, such as hosted e-commerce solutions will be removed and held until payment is made or for 30 days until the client has paid for their invoices in full.
“The Client” whose account is in default agree to pay SL Imaging reasonable legal expenses and third party collection agency fees in the enforcement of these Terms and Conditions.
SL Imaging retains all copyright for work performed until full project costs have been paid. SL Imaging reserves the right to reuse or resell work undertaken in the case of payment default.
SL Imaging accepts no liability or responsibility for loss of income or damage to the client for work removed from third party servers, as a result of non-payment and “The Client” will not take legal action for any situation arising from invoice disputes or removal of the disputed work in such cases.
Amendments to these Terms and Conditions
All and any amendments to these terms and conditions outlined in this submission must be provided in writing by “The Client”and signed by an authorised representative of SL Imaging prior to the commencement of work outlined in this submission.
Freelance Contractors and Confidentiality
All contractors employed by SL Imaging are held to a strict confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement. Contractors of SL Imaging are also bound by a strictly enforced non-solicitation agreement for a period of 36 months after the conclusion of their work with SL Imaging.
SL Imaging aim for comlete security of our clients and if we select contractors it is based upon previous work, references, and global checks with previous employers, as well as compliance with strict SL Imaging guidelines of professional behaviour and ethics.
Web Hosting
Agreement
For web hosting services the parties involved agree to a monthly or yearly contract, beginning after Provider’s (SL Imaging) receipt of payment of the initial monthly, yearly or other service fee from Client.
Payment
This agreement will automatically renew for successive monthly (or yearly) periods unless canceled in writing (email) prior to the renewal date which shall be thirty days prior to renewal date. Clients’ credit card will be automatically billed every 30 days of service (if on the monthly plan. Yearly plans will be billed yearly). Client will receive these charges on their credit card statement for every period that service is rendered.
Late Payments
If credit card authorization can not be obtained by Provider within 5 days of the due date, Provider, at its sole discretion, has the option to terminate or otherwise deactivate the Client’s account without any notice.
Illegal Content
SL Imaging does not allow any of the following content to be stored on its servers:
(a) Illegal Material – This includes copyrighted works, commercial audio, video, or music files, and any material in violation of any International, National, or Local law or regulation.
(b) Adult Material – Pornography and sex-related merchandising are expressly prohibited on SL Imaging servers. This includes implying sexual content, display of nudity, or any link to adult content anywhere else. This is also true for sites that promote illegal activity of any type or content that may be damaging to SL Imaging or any other servers on the Internet. Links to such materials are also prohibited.
(c) Warez – This includes pirated software, ROMS, emulators, phreaking, hacking, or password cracking, violations of copyrights, or spamming.
Domain Names
(a) We do not warrant or guarantee that the domain name applied for will be registered in your name or is capable of being registered by you. Accordingly, you should take no action in respect of your requested domain name(s) until you have been notified that your requested domain name has been registered.
(b) Both the registration of the domain name and its ongoing use are subject to the relevant naming authority’s terms and conditions of use and you are responsible for ensuring that you are aware of those terms and conditions and can and do comply with them. You irrevocably waive any claims you may have against us in respect of the decision of a naming authority to refuse to register a domain name and, without limitation agree that the administration charge paid by you to us shall be non-refundable in any event.
(c) We accept no responsibility in respect of the use of a domain name by you and any dispute between you and any other individual or organisation regarding a domain name must be resolved between the parties concerned and we will take no part in any such dispute. We reserve the right, on our becoming aware of such a dispute, at our sole discretion and without giving any reason, to either suspend or cancel the domain name, and/or to make appropriate representations to the relevant naming authority.
Indemnification
Client agrees that it shall defend, indemnify, save and hold SL Imaging, its employees, officers, and all affiliate companies, harmless from any and all demands, liabilities, losses, costs, and claims, including reasonable attorney’s fees asserted against SL Imaging, its employees, officers, and affiliate companies that may arise or result from any product or service provided by Client, its agents, employees or assigns. Client agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless SL Imaging against ;liabilities arising out of; (1) any injury to person or property caused by any products or services or otherwise distributed in connection with SL Imaging; (2) any material supplied by Client infringing or allegedly infringing on the proprietary rights of a third party; and (3) copyright infringement.
Disclaimer
SL Imaging will not be responsible for any damages you or your business may suffer resulting from services provided by SL Imaging. SL Imaging makes no warranties of any kind, expressed or implied for services we provide. SL Imaging disclaims any warranty or merchant ability of fitness for a particular purpose. This includes loss of data resulting from delays, non-deliveries, wrong delivery, and any and all service interruptions caused by SL Imaging, its employees, officers, or affiliate companies. SL Imaging’s financial liability is restricted to the price paid for the service provided. SL Imaging reserves the right to revise its policies at any time.
